Making Candles Guide

When you need a break from chasing and/or killing perps, making candles at Carlotta's Candle Shop in the remote Carib Village can be fun, and it also trains your Crafts skills, which is useful for several things, such as dying hair and clothes and repairing weapons. To get to the Carib Village, just go to any of the Monorail stations in town. Once getting off the Monorail at the Carib Village station, exit the station. You will find Carlotta's Candleshop at the end of a path one block north and two blocks west of the Monorail station.

Just make sure when making candles that you leave enough money, $20, in your pocket to pay for the return trip to town on the Monorail, or else you will be stranded in the Carib Village until someone lends you the money for the Monorail fare.

Once you make a candle, or a few dozen, you can keep the candles to increase the atmosphere of the area in which you burn them, or you can also sell them to Gigi St. Michaels at the Glorious Image Art Gallery on Ocean View Road in Downtown Cape Marassas.

The art of making candles can be a complicated process at first, so Carlotta does sell a candle making guide, but really once you get the hang of it, the guide pretty much becomes useless. So, in order to save you a little money, below I've laid out all of the instructions for candle making and also provided Carlotta's menu in this guide for easy reference.

Now, to start making a candle, the first thing you will need is a sheet of paraffin wax and a knife with which to cut it. Carlotta does sell an oyster knife for $500 which can be used for cutting the wax, but it cannot be used in combat.

Here are the instructions for making candles, which I'll follow up with Carlotta's menu.

So, start out by buying a sheet of paraffin wax and if you don't already have a knife, an oyster knife. Cut your wax, and then buy the color dye of your choice, and pour it into the can. Then buy the scent oil of your choice, and pour it into the can, and then finally buy the candle mold of your choice, pouring the contents of the can into the mold. Voila! You've just created a candle. Congratulations!
