Fishing Regulations

Morada law requires recreational anglers to possess a saltwater fishing license. Additionally, bluefin tuna and tarpon require special licenses. For details, consult the regulations below. All infractions are punishable to the fullest extent of the law, and will include arrest, a $1,000 fine per illegal fish, and you will be banned from fishing on the charter boats for a few Moradian days. Of course, depending on the appraised value of the fish, you may decide to risk jail time, simply because it's too hard to pass up the money that selling the fish will bring in.

Just as an example, you catch a bluefin tuna that's worth $80,000, and then a little while later, you catch a second bluefin tuna that's also worth $80,000, knowing full well that regulations say you can only catch one bluefin tuna per 24 Moradian hour time period. Question is, do you do the legal thing and tear up the second voucher, thus passing up on $80,000? Or do you do the illegal thing, keep and sell the voucher and then get arrested, pay a $1000 fine and get banned from charter fishing for a few days? Use your own judgment.

Also, please note that from time to time you may end up catching a fish that is not listed in the fishing regulations. Should that happen, it's ok to keep it because all it means is there are no regulations in terms of that particular fish and you can catch as many of them in one day as you like.

One day is any consecutive 24-hour Moradian time period.
